These terms apply to your rental application submitted to Big City Living, the property management company for Barnes Investment Group. By submitting an application you agree to the following.
No application fee
Big City Living does not charge a fee to submit a rental application.
Accuracy of your information
You certify that the information you provide in your application is true, correct, and complete, and that the email address you provide is valid and belongs to you (or that you are authorized to use it for this application). Providing false or incomplete information may result in your application being declined.
Authorization to verify
You authorize Big City Living to verify the information in your application. This may include contacting your current and previous landlords to confirm your rental history, and contacting your employer or reviewing documentation you provide (such as pay stubs) to confirm your income and employment. You authorize those parties to release this information to us for the purpose of evaluating your application.
Big City Living does not perform an automated credit or criminal background check as part of this application. If that ever changes, we will provide the additional disclosures and obtain the separate authorization required by law before doing so.
Renters insurance
If your application is approved and you sign a lease, you understand that proof of renters insurance is required on or before your move-in date.
How we use and protect your information
We use the information you provide solely to evaluate your rental application and, if you are approved, to set up your tenancy. We do not sell your information. Your application and any documents you upload are stored securely and access is limited to authorized staff. We retain application information only as long as needed for these purposes or as required by law.
Equal housing
Big City Living is an equal housing provider. We evaluate all applications without regard to race, color, religion, sex, national origin, familial status, disability, or any other characteristic protected by applicable fair housing laws.
No guarantee of approval
Submitting an application does not guarantee approval or reserve a unit. Units are subject to availability and to our review of your application.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time. The version in effect when you submit your application governs that application.
